Trusting in Jesus Christ alone for the forgiveness of sins  is the beginning but not the ending of what it means to follow Christ. If you have not placed your faith in Jesus we can assist you with this spiritual decision. For more info visit our DISCOVER CHRIST page or request to meet with a pastor.

We view baptism as being an outward, visible demonstration of an inward spiritual transformation which comes about when one trusts in Christ alone for salvation. Our position of baptism by immersion is based on the following:

The word baptize (baptizo) in Greek means to “dip” or “immerse” under water.

Immersion best illustrates the believers identification with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. (Romans 6:1-11 and Colossians 2:12)

The descriptions of baptism in the New Testament suggest that people were immersed.
(Matthew 3:6, John 3:23, Acts 8:38)

At the end of a worship service, you'll be invited to come forward and get the conversation started about joining FBC. We will set up a time for you to meet with a pastor to continue this process and help you get connected into our church community.

A pastor will meet with you to hear your story and talk about what it takes to move forward as a healthy, contributing member of the church.

"Come Aboard" is our new members' class, and it is an opportunity for you to learn more about the heart and mission of our church. It is also an opportunity for you to find out more about our small groups and serving opportunities. After completing these steps your name will be submitted for approval at our next business meeting.
